There has been some wrong speculation going around the iPhone jailbreaking community, all due to a tweet from iPhone hacker Geohot. Rumors have spread rapidly like fire, after many bloggers have mistakenly identified Geohot’s tweet about his robot to be that regarding an unlock for iPhone 3.1.3. After you have jailbroken your iPhone firmware 3.1.3 3G/3GS with Sn0wbreeze, the next step is to unlock it. Here are the steps to unlock your iPhone 3.1.3 using Ultrasn0w 0.92. Apple has recently updated iPhone firmware to 3.1.3, and ever since then, there have been updates to jailbreaking tools such as PwnageTool 3.1.5, redsn0w 0.9.4, and Sn0wbreeze V1.5, to make them compatible with the latest iPhone OS. iPhone 3G 05.08 bootloader users who have accidentally upgraded their firmware to 3.1.3, only later realizing that they are unable to preserve their unlock, can now downgrade to iPhone 3.1.2 baseband 05.12.01, an unlockable version using Fuzzyband Cydia App. (more…)
