Recently a jailbreak tool called Thunderst0rm surfaced, claiming untethered jailbreak of iPhone 3.1.3 firmware on baseband 05.12.01 for iPhone and iPod Touch. Popular iPhone hacker Geohot has posted on Twitter that he was able to jailbreak the iPad. He posted a picture of iPad in verbose mode on yfrog.
For the unaware, verbose mode is that which shows up all the log of all that is going on when you boot your iPad.
