How To Install OpenSSH On iPad/iPhone & Connect To PC/Mac Wirelessly
Jailbreaking iPad or iPhone opens up a lot of possibilities, one of them being the ability to install OpenSSH and thus transfer files between your Computer and iPad/iPhone wirelessly. You will no longer need iTunes and a USB cable to connect your iPad/iPhone with your PC. Here are the steps to install OpenSSH on your iPad or iPhone. Before going ahead, you should first jailbreak your iDevice.
Install OpenSSH
1. After jailbreaking your iPad or iPhone, launch Cydia.
2. Tap ‘Search’ tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Search for ‘OpenSSH’ and install it.

Connect iPad Or iPhone With Computer & Explore File System Using OpenSSH
After installing OpenSSH you can start connecting your iPad or iPhone to your PC or Mac via an OpenSSH client such as CyberDuck for Mac OSX or WinSCP for Windows and access the file system on your device. Make sure that you are not running iTunes while connecting and that both your iPad as well as Computer are connected to the same wireless network.
In order to SSH into iPad or iPhone, you need to provide your iPad’s (iPhone’s) IP address, which you can find by going to Settings –> WiFi –> ‘Name of your Network’.
For Cyberduck, here are the details to be provided in order to connect to your iPad/iPhone:
Server: IP address of your iPad/iPhone.
Protocol: SFTP
Username: root
Password: alpine
For WinSCP:
Hostname: iPad IP address
Protocol: SCP
Username & Password: Same as for Cyberduck.
Make sure that you change the OpenSSH password of your iPad/iPhone after logging in for the first time.
