Have you ever wondered what all you could if only you could connect your external hard drive full of data to your iPad? One guy not only thought about it, but also found out a way to do it using Apple Camera Connection kit. Max Shay has given a step by step tutorial on mounting external hard drive on iPad.

You need to first jailbreak iPad using Spirit before you can go mount an external hard drive. Apart from a jailbroken iPad, you also need an external hard drive formatted as HFS or FAT32, OpenSSH on your iPad, a split USB cable for powering the external hard drive, a terminal to send commands to your device, and a file reader app such as the iFile or GoogleReader available in the App Store.

Isn’t there any program to do this vía WiFi?
I mean, isn’t there any PROGRAM that alows you to see, mount and explore a hard disk of a computer connected to the same WiFi network as the iPad? Or a TimeCapsule?
It would be the only way to have access to any typical collection of música + photos + vídeos which is usually much larger than 64GB.

    Thanks for any Help.
