The iPad Wi-Fi version started to become available on April 3rd,  and much prior to that pre-ordering commenced. We have already seen the first iPad unboxing video, came across a number of newly released iPad apps such as Netflix, Kindle, iBooks, etc. Even before iPad was out, it was jailbroken using the Spirit userland untethered iPhone firmware 3.2 jailbreak, and more recently had Cydia running on it.

Some iPad users have lately been seeing some Wi-Fi network connectivity problems, such as unable to automatically rejoin a known Wi-Fi network after restarting or waking your iPad from sleep. This problem can occur in case of 3rd party Wi-Fi routers that are dual-band capable, when either the same network name or different security settings are used for each network.

A resolution for this problem has been given by Apple, in a knowledge base article for this Wi-Fi problem.

Fix:

1. Use separate Wi-Fi network names for each band. For instance, add a G to the 802.11b/g network name and N to the 802.11n.

2. Make sure that both the networks use the same settings for Network Security (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc).

In case the problem still exists, then reset the network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
