Apple iPad Release Date Confirmed, Pre-Order Starts Soon

Ever since Apple iPad was officially announced back in January, there has been a lot of speculation on it’s release dates. Finally the news is officially out from Cupertino, the Wi-Fi models will be available in US from April 3rd onwards. For the unaware, Apple iPad is a tablet device, initially running on iPhone OS 3.2. It can therefore run most of the iPhone apps available in the App Store.

The 9.7 inch multi touch display, 1 GHz processor, and the ultra thin design of this upcoming Apple creation is definitely set to steal people’s hearts, the same way the iPhone did several years ago. iPad is going to be available in two models, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G. While the Wi-Fi only model is the first one to be released on April 3rd 2010, the Wi-Fi+3G model is expected to be out in late April.

Starting March 12th, you can pre order an iPad at the Apple online store, or reserve one for pick up at an Apple retail store. Here are the pricing details of the Wi-Fi model:
