Now here is an app that works exactly opposite of Apple’s Remote app. Called Bowtie (no clue as to the name!), this $0.99 app lets you control the music player on your iPhone or iPod Touch from your computer.

Say you have docked your iPod to a stereo system and enjoying surfing the net on your PC while listening to your favorite songs. Bowtie comes of great help in such situations; it lets you skip songs, pause the music for a while, or replay the tracks, all without ever leaving your desktop. Basically, a remote music player application for your device.

The app has a desktop counterpart. So you will need to install either the Mac or the Windows version on your Computer, which is available for free.
