Fring For iPhone Now Supports 3G Voice And Video Calls
Fring, the social networking app for iPhone and iPod Touch, has been updated to enable 3G voice and video calls. This means that you no longer need Skype on your device to make calls in Fring. You can right away call your Fring contacts, free of cost.
The latest version of Fring lets you make one way video calls over 3G or Wi-Fi. The one way limitation is becauseĀ the iPhone camera is on the opposite side of the screen. So you cannot watch and transmit your video at the same time. With Fring, you can turn your iPod Touch into a mobile phone.
For the unaware, Fring is a mobile social hub, with support for IM clients such as Skype, MSN Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, SIP, Twitter, Yahoo, and AIM. In case you already have Fring installed on your device, you don’t have to do download the new version. The next time you open the app, it will be automatically updated.
In case you do not have Fring on your iPhone and like to try it, see the download link below.

Fring works with iPhone and iPod Touch. Requires iPhone OS 2.0 or later.
