Apple iPad To Be Released With iPhone Firmware 3.2, Will Run All Your iPhone Apps
Apple iPad is finally here. Yes, the rumors and the speculations and the entire media fiasco has come to an end, with Apple releasing the most anticipated gadget of this year, iPad. This tablet version of iPod Touch has a 9.7 inch high resolution multi touch display, a 1GHz processor, and an incredible battery life of up to 10 hrs for browsing, movie and music playback needs.
Most of those who own the iPhone or iPod Touch can feel at home right away with the iPad’s interface and it’s built-in apps, such as Maps, Email, Contacts, Home Screen, Calendar, iPod Player app, YouTube app, iBooks, iWorks suite and so on. Also you can use your favorite iPhone apps on the iPad, with currently over 140,000 of the apps available in the app store being compatible with iPad.
iPad runs on iPhone OS 3.2 Beta, a version not yet available for iPhone or iPod Touch. The current iPhone firmware, 3.1.2 has been jailbroken, with redsn0w and sn0wbreeze. Will some one be able to jailbreak iPhone 3.2? Let us wait and see. If that happens, you will be able to run apps such as ProSwitcher (a Palm-Pre style task switching app), Google Voice client, LockInfo, Infinidock, GlovePod, and BTstack that allows you to connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the device.

Apple iPad would be available in 2 models, one with Wi-Fi and the other with WI-Fi + 3G. While the first one may hit the stores in 8 weeks from now, the latter is expected in 12 weeks. Both the models are available with flash memories of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.
