How To Unlock iPhone 3G 3.0 With Ultrasn0w?
The Dev Team has given the unlock software for iPhone 3G. Called Ultrasn0w, this allows you to unlock your iPhone 3G with firmware 3.0 so that you can change the carrier. However in order to unlock your iPhone 3G with firmware 3.0, you need to first jailbreak. After you have jailbroken your iPhone, you can go ahead and unlock it using ultrasn0w.
Note:
1. T-mobile users should disable 3G before using ultrasn0w. (Go to Settings->General->Network and turn off 3G Mode).
2. Ultrasn0w works only with iPhone 3G phones on Baseband 04.26.08.
3. Install iTunes in case you need to upgrade iPhone 3G to 3.0 firmware.
4. Internet connection on your iPhone for downloading the ultrasn0w tool.
How to install ultrasn0w using Cydia?
1. Launch Cydia.
2. Go to Packages –> Edit –> Add.
3. Add repo666.ultrasn0w.com as your repository URL and click ‘Add Source’.
4. Now the ultrasn0w software gets downloaded onto your iPhone.
5. After download is complete, you will find ultrasn0w as a package in your Cydia sources menu.
6. Install ultrasn0w.
Reboot your iPhone and your iPhone will now be unlocked!
How to Unlock iPhone 3G 2.2.1 Baseband 02.30.03 and iPhone 3G 2.2.1 Baseband 02.28.00?
1. First upgrade your iPhone firmware to 3.0 using iTunes.
2. After jailbreaking your iPhone 3G 2.2.1, follow the steps given above to install ultrasn0w from Cydia.
