Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.2 Using Sn0wbreeze On Windows
Sn0wbreeze Beta, which was released last week by the iH8sn0w dev team now has a final version available for download. Called Sn0wbreeze Lite, this jailbreaking tool is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, and XP 32bit and 64 bit systems and allows you to jailbreak iPhone and iPod Touch 3.1.2 firmware.
Sn0wbreeze is a port of the Pwnage tool for Mac to Windows and unlike other Windows jailbreaking tools such as blackra1n or redsn0w, allows you to create custom IPSW files. You can also have custom boot logo or custom root partition, even create a custom build with your favorite Cydia apps bundled with it.
The final version has an extra feature not found in the Beta – you can change the boot logo without wiping everything else. This method is called NOR-only IPSW flashing, it allows you to have custom boot logo without performing a full restore on your iPhone.
Supported devices are iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS (old bootrom) and iPod Touch 1G, 2G (non MC).
