Whether you want to type lengthy emails, chat with your friends or take notes during a presentation on your iPhone, it’s not so easy to keep tapping on the letters to form sentences. One thing that is badly missing in iPhone OS is the ability to connect a wireless keyboard.

The BTstack application overcomes this drawback by letting you connect a Bluetooth keyboard to your iPhone or iPod Touch. This application, which is available on the Cydia Store for $5, needs a jailbroken device. Check out our article on How To Jailbreak iPhone 3G/3GS Firmware 3.1.2 Using blackra1n RC3?

BTstack keyboard is compatible with jailbroken iPhone 3G(s) and all iPod Touch devices with Bluetooth support. Currently it does not work on iPhone 2G, however an update may fix this problem in the future. You can pair your iPhone with any Bluetooth HID keyboards using BTstack.

BTstack has been tested on the following keyboards:

Apple Bluetooth Keyboard

Dell Axim Executive Keyboard

Freedom mini keyboard

Freedom Universal2 (make sure you are in HID mode)
